Sunday of Lent - The Stations of the Cross
The 'Via Crucis "taking place in the church of S. Domenico (Via Duomo, the old town) and in the Carmelite church (Piazza Giovanni XXIII), are certainly the most interesting to follow in Taranto during the period of Lent.

The churches listed are those that host the two most important brotherhoods Taranto, who has been give a touch of folklore Sunday, unknown to the simple ritual: the Confraternity of Mary. El Sorrows' Confraternity of Mary. of Mount Caramel.
The "Way of the Cross takes place as follows:
S. DOMENICO (17.30) - A set of three brothers in the habit of stopping in front of each Rite XIV stations. The brother who is in the center bearing a black cross with a sheet avvoltovi above, the two sides to bring a candle.
CARMINE (18,30) - Same procedure. The brother in the middle wearing a cross, the two sides but a big candle that rest on the ground.
