Do You Get Pubes Before You Get Armpit Hair

Chapter I - The Pain Arjuna

Chapter I - The Grief of Arjuna

The blind king Dhritarashtra (the blind the mind) told or asked Sanjaya (impartial introspection):

1. "What did my children, evil, seductive and mental tendencies of the senses, as opposed to the pure discriminative mental tendencies, who have gathered together on the sacred plain of the battlefield of Life (Dharmakshetra) who want to battle psychological and moral."

Sanjaya said

2. Then King Duryodhana, having seen the armies of the Pandavas arrayed in battle, he fled from his preceptor Drona, and spoke to him thus:

3. "O Master, looks at the great army of the sons of Pandu, deployed in battle by the son of Drupada, your disciple of great talent.

4. "In it there are powerful heroes, skillful in battle as a great archer Arjuna and Bhima, the veteran warriors Yuyiidhana, Virata and Drupada;

5." Potent Dhristaketu, Cekitana and the king of Kashi, the flower of men, Purujit, and Kuntibhoja and Shaibya;

6. "The strong and brave Yudhamanyu Uttamauja the son of Subhadra and the sons of Draupadi - all the lords of great chariots.

7." Play well, or Flower of the two-times-born Brahmins, who are the generals of our army stand between us, you will name them for you know.

8. "Thyself and Bhishma, Karna and Kripa - the victorious in battle. Aswatthama, Vikarna, the son of Somadatta and Jayadratha are all on our side.

9." And many other warriors, including well-versed in their battles fitted with different types of weapons are here, ready to sacrifice their lives for me.

10. "Our forces are protected by Bhishma difficult to count, while their army, protected by Bhima, is easy to count."

Duryodhana (King Material Desire) said to his preceptor Drona (past habits):

11. "So all of you remain in your respective posts in the departments of the army, protect Bhishma."

12. Then Bhishma, the Great Ancestor, the strongest and oldest of the Kauravas, in order to cheer Duryodhana blew his shell as strong as a lion roaring.

13. Following Bhishma, on the side of the Kauravas now sound shells, crabs, drums, horns and trumpets, and the noise was terrible.

14. Then also Madhava (Krishna) and the Pandavas (Arjuna), being on their great chariot drawn by white horses, splendidly played their celestial shells.

15. Hrishikesha (Krishna) played his Panchajanya, Dhananjaya (Arjuna) his Devadatta, and Vrikodara (Bhima), business terrifying, played his great conchiia Paundra.

16. King Yudhisthira, the son of Kunti, blew his conch called Anantavijaya. Nakula Sahadeva and their respective sounds and Sughosha Manipushpaka.

17. The king of Kashi, an excellent athlete, the great warrior Sikhandi; Dhristadyumna, Virata and the unconquerable Satyaki,

18. Drupada, the sons of Draupadi, and the powerful son of Subhadra, all together - or Lord of the Earth - they sounded their shells.

19. And those sounds emanating from the activities of the astral centers of earth, water, fire, air and ether, heard by the devotee in meditation, they discouraged the desires and materials related to the mental body (the clan of Dhritarashtra).

20. Seeing the clan of Dhritarashtra ready to start the battle, the Pandavas - the flag has the emblem of the monkey - lifted his bow and spoke these words to Hrishikesha:

Arjuna said reverently:

21 - 22. "Unchanging O Krishna, I beg you to take my car between the two armies, that they may see those who are ready to do battle! On the eve of war, let me see who I fight.

23. "I want to see all those who have gathered in this field (Kurukshetra) ready to fight, sided with the wicked son of Dhritarashtra (Durvodhana).

Sanjaya said

24 to 25. O descendant of Bharata, commanded thus by Gudakesha, Hrishikesha led the best cars at a point between the two armies, in front of Bhishma, Drona and all the kings of the earth, and then said: "Behold, O Partha, all the Kauravas gathered together. "

26. Partha (Arjuna) saw the armies gathered in both grandfathers, fathers-in-law, uncles, brothers and cousins, children and grandchildren, classmates, teachers and other friends again.

27. Seeing all those relatives lined up in rows, the Son of Kunti was seized with deep compassion and spoke thus sadly

Arjuna said

28. "Seeing, or Krishna, these my kinsmen assembled here eager to fight, my limbs fail and my mouth is dry.

29." Trembling and my hair stand on end. Gandia The sacred bow slips from my hand and my skin burns.

30. "Nor can I stand. My mind wanders here and there, or Keshava, and I see bad omens.

31. "Nor, O Krishna, I perceive no salutary effect in killing my kinsmen in battle. I do not want either the triumph or the kingdom, and even the pleasures of the senses.

32 to 34." What we need domain, we need a smile or even to live, or Govinda? The same dear for the sake of which we want the empire, the joy and pleasure, here are arrayed in battle, ready to give up life and wealth: tutors, fathers, children, grandparents, uncles, in-laws, grandchildren, in-laws and other relatives.

35. "O Madhusudana, although these warriors were to kill me, I could never wish for to kill them, even if when I got the domain on the three worlds. And at least I could do it for love of the earth!

36. "Indeed, what happiness we can obtain, or Janardana, killing the sons of Dhritarashtra? The killing of these evil men only throw us into the clutches of sin.

37." Therefore we are not qualified to kill our relatives, children of Dhritarashtra. O Madhava, how can we achieve happiness by killing our relatives?

38 - 39. "Although they say, with the intelligence clouded by greed, can not see disaster in the ruin of families and not see the evil in hostility against friends, because - or Janardana - us, we perceive clearly the evil caused by the destruction of families, we should not try to avoid this sin? 40. "With the destruction of the family, family members perish in the ancient religious rites. When it's destroyed the religion that sustains us, then, sin overtakes the entire family.

41." O Krishna, because of lack of religion (adharma) the women of the family become poor. And when - or Varshneya - women are corrupt, adultery is spreading among the castes.

42. "The adulteration of the blood of the family to hell with the destroyers of the clan, along with the family. And succumb to the spirits of their ancestors, private offers of water and rice cakes.

43. "With the misdeeds of the destroyers of the family, which produce the confusion of castes, they are destroyed the ancient religious rites (dharma) of caste and race.

44." And we have learned, or Janardana that men without Family and religious rites are certainly doomed to dwell in hell.

45. "Driven by the greed of the pleasure of owning a kingdom, we are ready to kill our relatives - an action that will involve us in a great inequity.

46." If the sons of Dhritarashtra, with weapons in hand, I killed in battle while I remain unarmed and without resistance, so I would be more acceptable and beneficial. "

Sanjaya said

47. Having thus spoken on the battlefield, with the mind distressed by pain, throwing the bow and arrow, Arjuna sat down on the seat of his car. "

Here ends the first chapter called "Arjuna vishada -Yoga" Yoga of Arjuna's sorrow "
